The story
Su Qin studied under the strategist Guiguzi and petitioned the king of Qin twelve times without success. He came home in rags, and his wife would not leave her loom nor his sister-in-law cook for him. Burning with shame, he shut himself in with a book of military secrets, jabbing his thigh with an awl to stay awake, and later became chancellor of six states at once.
What it means
The image is a whale not yet grown. The whale becomes the greatest creature in the sea, but you are still the young one, not yet able to take the ocean's weather. The lot does not doubt your ambition or your talent; it says the conditions have not finished forming. The danger now is reaching above your station or abandoning the post you hold. Stay where you are and quietly assemble what is missing: skill, contacts, capital. When the change does come, your leap clears a gate most people never reach.
By area of life
Wealth
A poor season for gain. Preserve capital and never borrow to force a result; wait for conditions to improve and the return will be worth the delay.
Love
The moment has not arrived and neither party is ready. Do not press for a declaration or a wedding date. What comes later will be far better than what you could force now.
Work
Job openings and ventures have not surfaced yet. Stay in place, deepen your expertise, and wait until both you and the market are stronger.
Health
Improvement is slow; resist changing doctors repeatedly. Chronic conditions respond to patient regimen and inner discipline, not to quick cures.
Travel
Going abroad now, you are underprepared and likely to return empty-handed. Assemble the language, the funds and the contacts first, and only then book the journey.
Advice
Endure this unfinished season patiently, because it is what buys you the leap later.
