The story
Jealous of Consort Li's newborn son, Consort Liu had the midwife substitute a skinned wildcat and had Li condemned for bearing a monster. Li escaped and lived among the common people. The child, rescued by a eunuch, was raised in a prince's household and became Emperor Renzong. Years later Judge Bao met the blind Consort Li, tried the case, and the truth came out.
