Original: 鲲鸟秋来化作鹏 / 好游快乐喜飞腾 / 翱翔万里云霄去 / 余外诸禽总不能
The story
After the plank roads were burned, Liu Bang's officers deserted in droves, Han Xin among them. Xiao He rode all night to bring him back, and told the furious king that if he meant to contest the empire with Xiang Yu, there was no one but Han Xin. Han Xin was raised to supreme command and won the empire for the Han.
What it means
The image is the kun fish changing into the peng bird: transformation is coming. Zhuangzi's fish of the northern ocean becomes a bird that flies ten thousand miles into the clouds, and no other bird can follow. This is a lot about scale. You, or this matter, are destined for something considerable, but the peng can only roost in a great tree and cannot perch on a twig. So do not settle for cramped, trivial work now, and do not fight for position in a small circle. The present is unremarkable and the future is large; grow the wings first.
