The poem
Original: 夏日炎天日最长 / 人人愁热闷非常 / 天地也解知人意 / 熏风拂拂自然凉
The story
When Liu Bei had no territory of his own, Liu Zhang of Yizhou, threatened by Zhang Lu and related to him by clan, invited him west to help defend the province. Zhuge Liang went along, studying the mountains and passes of Shu until he knew every defensible point. Through his patient arrangements the western province became the base on which Liu Bei's kingdom was founded.
What it means
The image is of everyone suffering the heat, and of things going as you wish. The oppression you feel is real but temporary; it belongs to the season rather than to your fate. Heaven and earth are said to read human hearts, which here means that relief arrives without being forced. Do not hesitate between advancing and holding back, since the right moment is already arranged. Spend within your means and do not overreach. Keep your intentions decent and your dealings kind, and help will come quietly, often just as you are about to give up.

Money comes, but on heaven's timetable rather than yours. Do not rush an investment; plan first, act second, and give a little away. The harvest arrives after autumn.
Love
If you are single, stop fretting; say plainly what you feel and a good match will come to meet you. If attached, be gentle, for the heat between you passes.
Work
Your methods are sound and quiet help is already at work. Stay with your own trade, do not chase fantasies, and both prosperity and promotion are within reach.
Health
The cause of the trouble may not show up in tests. Relax, keep regular hours, and let the mind settle; as the temper cools the symptoms cool with it.
Travel
A good sign for going abroad. There is room for you elsewhere; prepare carefully before you leave and the prospects are brighter than at home.

Do not fight the heat; stand straight and wait for the wind.
