The poem
Original: 出入营谋大吉昌 / 似玉无瑕石里藏 / 若得贵人来指引 / 斯时得宝喜风光
The story
Jiang Wei, a Wei general of great ability and famous filial devotion, was admired by Zhuge Liang, who wanted him for Shu. Zhuge attacked the city where his mother lived and at the same time sent a false Jiang Wei to surrender elsewhere, so that Wei believed him a traitor. Cut off, Jiang Wei submitted, and Zhuge came down from his carriage to receive him with honour.
What it means
The image is treasure hidden inside stone, and matters go as you wish. Something excellent is already in your hands or in yourself, unseen by others and not yet clearly seen by you. When a patron points it out, the treasure is yours and the pleasure is plain on your face. What this sign asks is that you let people see what you can actually do, and that you accept the recommendation of someone who genuinely understands what you are worth.
