The imagery
She sits between two pillars, one black and marked B, one white and marked J, the boundary posts of Solomon's temple and of every pair of opposites. Behind her hangs a veil of pomegranates and palms, hiding whatever lies beyond; the water at the hem of her robe flows out from under it. A crescent moon rests at her feet, a horned lunar crown sits on her head, and a cross lies on her breast. In her lap is a partly hidden scroll marked TORA, the law that is not read aloud. General
Something in you already knows. The High Priestess counsels patience and inward listening rather than action, especially when the facts available are incomplete. Not everything has been revealed yet, and that is not an obstacle, it is the correct stage of the process. Pay attention to dreams, to the feeling in your body when a name comes up, to the answer that arrives before the reasoning does. This is also a card of discretion: some things grow better unannounced. Resist the pressure to explain yourself or decide before you are ready. Sit with the question a while longer and let the veil lift on its own.
Love
Feelings are running deeper than the conversation has caught up with. There may be an unspoken attraction, a secret held gently, or a bond that communicates without much talk. Do not force disclosure, from yourself or anyone else. Notice what your intuition says about how safe you feel with this person, and believe it. Mystery is attractive now, but the aim is intimacy rather than concealment.
Career
Gather information quietly before you make a move. Something has not been disclosed, and asking careful questions will serve you better than declaring a position. This card favours research, study, counselling, writing and any work that happens below the surface. If you are being pushed to commit, buy yourself time. Your read on the room is accurate even when you cannot yet justify it.

Not all the numbers are visible. Delay any large decision until you have seen the full picture, and read anything that has been summarised for you. The signal is being drowned out. Reversed, the High Priestess describes intuition ignored, overridden by other people's certainty or by your own need for a quick answer. It can also show secrets that have grown heavy, information withheld until the withholding itself became the problem. Get quiet enough to hear yourself again, even if that means less input for a week. If you are the one keeping something back, ask whether the privacy is still protecting anyone. Disconnection from your own inner voice is reversible, and usually only takes a little solitude to repair.
Love
Something is not being said, and the silence has stopped being peaceful. Perhaps you are guessing rather than asking, or holding a feeling back because naming it makes it real. Mixed signals may also be coming from someone who is genuinely unsure. Choose one honest sentence and offer it. Reversed, this card also warns against ignoring the quiet discomfort you keep talking yourself out of.
Career
Information is being managed rather than shared. You may sense office politics under a calm surface, or find you have been left out of a decision. Ask direct questions and get answers in writing.
