The imagery
Three women stand in a circle with their cups raised until the rims almost touch above their heads. They are dressed in white, red, and gold, and their arms cross over each other so that the group reads as a single knot rather than three separate figures. Their feet are planted among pumpkins, grapes, and the last fruit of a harvest, and one of them wears a wreath of vine leaves. The ground is bright and the sky is a pale, untroubled yellow. There is no house, no road, and no destination in the picture, because the gathering itself is the whole event. Everything here has already been grown and gathered; nothing is being worked for. Rider-Waite-Smith gives the toast its own card to mark the moment when effort turns into shared pleasure and good fortune is enjoyed in company rather than counted alone.

General
Joy is meant to be shared. The Three of Cups brings friendship, reunion, celebration, and the particular relief of being among people who are pleased for you. Something good has ripened and it is time to raise a glass. Say yes to the invitation, organise the gathering, call the friend you have been meaning to call. This card also reminds you that support is a resource: the people around you can carry things you cannot carry alone, and letting them is not weakness. If you have been isolated by work or worry, this is a nudge back toward company.
Love
Warm, social, generous energy around relationships. You may meet someone through friends, celebrate a milestone together, or simply enjoy a lighter and more playful period as a couple. Community matters here, so introduce a new partner to your people and spend time as part of a wider circle. For singles, accept every reasonable invitation; this card rarely brings love to someone sitting at home.
Career
Collaboration goes well and the team genuinely enjoys itself. Expect successful group work, a celebration of something completed, or recognition shared among colleagues. Networking is strongly favoured, especially in informal settings where people talk honestly. Support someone else's success generously now, because the goodwill in this card circulates and comes back around later. Say yes to the informal invitation, because that is where the useful conversations happen.
Money
A good period financially, often connected to other people: a shared success, a bonus, or help from friends. Spending on celebration and on the people you love is well placed. Just keep an eye on the total, since generosity in a good mood has a way of outrunning the budget by the end of the month.
Reversed
General
The gathering has an edge to it. Reversed, this card can mean gossip, cliques, and social situations that leave you feeling worse than before you arrived. It can mean overindulgence, where celebration has become a way to avoid something. It can also mean isolation, whether you withdrew or were quietly left out. Look at which one is yours. Where friendship has soured, address it with the person rather than around them. Where you have been alone too long, make one small, low-stakes contact this week rather than waiting to feel sociable first.
Love
A third party, a crowd, or too much outside opinion complicates a relationship. Friends may have strong views, or someone else may be involved, or the two of you may only function well in company. Protect some private time together. If gossip has hurt you, go to the source rather than the group. For singles, a social scene that used to be fun may now feel hollow, which is a reason to change scenes rather than to withdraw.
Career
Office politics, cliques, or a team that has stopped being generous with each other. Stay out of gossip, since it is remembered longer than it is enjoyed. If you feel excluded from a group, build a few individual relationships rather than trying to win the room. Watch also for a celebratory culture that masks a lack of actual progress. Do your own work well and let that speak for you.
Money
Overspending on socialising, or money strain in a group arrangement. Split bills clearly and say no to the plans you cannot afford, without elaborate excuses. If you have been funding other people's good time, notice the pattern and adjust it before resentment arrives. Set a monthly limit for going out and hold to it without announcing it.
Advice
Call your people together and let yourself be celebrated as gladly as you celebrate others.
Affirmation
I am held by good people, and my joy grows when I share it.
